~ God lives in relationship and designed life meaning that we do too.
"Jesus is a giver and He gives us good things" ~ familiar words from a chorus to remind us that all that we are and all that we have is a gift from God; ourselves, family & friends, neighbours, workplaces & communities ~ all given and sustained by our Creator. Health comes from Him, food and the environment, creativity and imagination, the seasons, our relationships and our new identity as children of God: our hope.
~ God's greatest gift to us was and is the life of His son Jesus, who died to provide sacrifice and pay the price for all that has not "met the mark" in our lives. He brings life in all it's fullness to His followers. We receive forgiveness after confessing our sin to Him and asking for forgiveness and cleansing, believing He will be faithful. He "carries our infirmities" and brings healing and deliverance. Our hearts and minds are transformed as we align our lives and living to His design. He is the way the truth and the life and no-one comes to the God the Father apart from Him.
~ We are all called to live by God's standards as written in the Bible - the Book of Exodus contains the Ten Commandments given to Moses at Mount Horeb, Israel. The rest of the Bible is also packed with God's blueprint for daily living. Jesus demonstrates God's love for us and tells us the most important commandments for us to keep are "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength" and "Love your neighbour as yourself"....the world becomes different when we do it!
~ Jesus teaches when we obey his word carefully we will have success in all he asks us to do..with His direction we are to use the gifts and abilities he has given us and then will we receive blessing: "it is more blessed to give than recieve". We can demonstrate faith in action by who we are, how we relate, giving to the needy, sharing with a neighbour and loving others.
