"The joy of the Lord is your strength"

1Samuel 1-3
Hannah was a woman who loved the Lord. she was married, but with no children and made to feel miserable because of it. One day whilst at the temple she poured out her feelings to the Lord, the priest heard her cries and told her "Go in peace, and may the God of Israel grant what you have asked of Him". In time Hannah did concieve and bear a son - she named him Samuel which means 'heard of God' and she dedicated him to the Lord as she had promised. God brought joy into the most painful of her circumstances - she trusted Him and her prayers were answered.
Knowing who God is and what we mean to Him is vital to trusting Him and walking in faith and humility with Him. We can learn from the life of Jesus "who is the image of the invisible God" Colossians 1:15 and though reading all of God's word ~ the Bible.
If you haven't already try reading the whole of one of the gospels to find out about the life of Christ. (also watch this space for a link to a new mini website about the God we serve...)
Dear God, thankyou that I can trust you and that you hear my prayers. please help me to know your provision in my life for ...... and help me to get to know you more and grow like you daily, in Jesus name, Amen
