FaitH~
~ Is a gift from God. We can receive faith by asking in prayer - believing that we will recieve it. Faith is the quiet assurance of God's presence and purpose in our life and at times for the lives of others and/or for specific circumstances. Faith is defined in the Bible as "being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not yet see".
~ Faith is a choice to believe and grows as we learn about God through His word and begin to find out His character and plan for us. Trust develops as we see He can be relied upon and is dependable. Love is always His initiation and His care causes us to change our thoughts and ways to become more like Him.
~ The Holy Spirit enters our hearts as we believe in Him and dwells within us to counsel, comfort and guide us. We need His Holy power and enabling throughout our lives and can daily ask for His indwelling, joy and help. Comfort comes as we entrust our circumstances - daily and beyond in to God's care - those who continue life with Him have the assurance of eternity in His presence and a place in His kingdom always.
Why not ask God today to show you His specific purpose for your life and pray with faith - expecting that He will reveal that - being willing to hear, respond & follow? Jesus' first disciples were ordinary fishermen, tax collectors and such like and when he called them to follow Him they left their lives behind and learnt from Him -you can read their stories in any of the New Testament Gospel bks.
