 "For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind" 2Timothy 1:7 (NKJV)

Daily our mind/s are affected by words, pictures, images, thoughts, actions, hormones, nutrients, chemicals, environment..

God intends that we should have peaceful, active, fruitful minds that are willing, united and steadfast ~ in keeping with His will and behaviour.

The Bible instructs us to: be alert and sober 1Peter 4:7, set our mind on things above Colossians 3:2, pray Phillipians 4 6-8 
 
Amidst all we must bring every thought captive and make it obedient to Christ to complete His will ~ our part in the Great Commission. 2Corinthians 10:5
 
We must seek to: 
 
 "quicken the conscience by the holiness of God,
      feed the mind with the truth of God,
      purge the imagination by the beauty of God
      open up the heart to the love of God
      devote the will to the purpose of God"
(William Temple)
