A poem:

"Lord Jesus was sent to live here on earth,
to teach us the meaning of love
And how we should live by the most Holy Word of His Father in heaven above
But powerful men were afraid of His teaching and how many followed His way
So they said he must die and they nailed him up high
on an old wooden cross one dark day
but when three days passed Jesus rose and ascended to sit at His Father's right hand
to save all mankind from their bad sinful ways,
just as the Lord God had planned
so the glad Easter story we hear every year never loses its wonderful touch
our Lord sent His Son to die here on earth
for He loved all his children so much"

Dear Lord God, I give you my life,
I'm sorry for the things I've done wrong
I'm thankful for all you've made me to be
Please forgive me for (___) and cleanse me from all wrong
I receive your forgiveness; help me to choose life that pleases you
I commit to you my past, my future, myself, and decide you to be Lord
please fill me with your Holy presence,
and enable me to do your will
keep me from harm and draw me closer to you.
lead me in obeying your word and set me free
- living for you and praising you from this day forward,
for your glory, with thanks
in Jesus name, Amen
