Mary and Martha ~ Luke 10 38-42
"As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him. She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!" "Martha, Martha," the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things, but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken from her."
We live in a busy world ~ Martha was hospitable to Jesus by opening her home to him (Romans 12:13) but she became distracted by all that she thought needed to be done. Mary was content to be at Jesus feet and to listen, she wanted his presence and He wanted hers ~ Our relationships can easily be crowded out amidst those things that we think are more important or necessary.

Being still (Psalm 46) and waiting to hear God (Psalm 37:7) is a spiritual discipline..
Slowing down and getting our priorities right helps us to be 'in the world but not of it' (Romans 12:2)
Have you got time for God each day & in every circumstance ?
Does relationship with Him / others get overlooked ?
Take a walk / sit in the garden / relax with some music & be with the Lord.
Ask Him to order all that you are and do
