"Commit to the Lord whatever you do.." Proverbs 16:3
 
God requires us to be committed in our life and relationship with Him. He expects us to seek Him in prayer and to follow His way. Deuteronomy 4:29. Devoting ourselves to a prayerful life keeps us near to the Truth and growing daily in likeness of Him. Matthew 6:24. When we pray we can listen and hear God's guidance and correction. We can be steered by Him as we take each day at at time aware of our earthly calling and heavenly destination. Matthew 6. Focus on Christ excludes distractions and snares, enables us to see clearly and gain a balanced/closer walk with Him.
