"No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him" 1Cor 2:9
Christmas ~ bringing the promise of new life and new hope for all who receive it. So much potential, so many possibilities..so much beyond human control Luke 2 - yet God is faithful and He provides family, friends, purpose.... a destiny and inheritance. Proverbs 29:18 Vision, focus and loving obedience are key to living as God intends. An old chinese proverb says: "when people work together success comes naturally" God expects us to work with Him on His plans, for His glory..and whena we 'move to heaven' we will receive all that He has prepared for us Colossians 3 23-25 - including a home. John 14 1-3 and a place at His feast. Revelation 19 8-9 |
In the parable of the workers Jesus speaks of having Individual expectations/responsibilities for us (as well as collective). Look this up in Matthew 25 (& also read the other references) then take time to consider your own home, family, work life and ask the Lord what He expects of you.
Mordecai "worked for the good of his people and spoke up for the welfare of all the Jews" Esther 10:3
use the hymn below as a prayer from your heart to determine that Christ will reign in all and through all:
O for a closer walk with God,
a calm and heavenly frame,
a light to shine upon the road
that leads me to the Lamb!
~
Return, O holy dove, return
sweet messenger of rest!
I hate the sins that made me mourn
and drove thee from my breast.
The dearest idol I have known
whate'er that idol be,
help me to tear it from thy throne
and worship only thee
So shall my walk be close with God
calm and serene my frame;
so purer light shall mark the road
that leads me to the Lamb.
