God's presence....Genesis 1:1
 
God's presence can change our lives. Sometimes we might have a surprise, direct encounter with God - Moses & the burning bush (Exodus 3), Elijah at Mount Carmel (1Kings 19 1-18) or Jesus appearing to the disciples (Mark 16 13-15); or we may come across God in ordinary everyday circumstances - Matthew's meal with Jesus (Matthew 9 9-13), the disciples breakfast on the beach (John 21 1-14), Mary in the garden (John 20 11-18). We may also encounter Jesus in the lives of others -  as we look after 'the least' (Matthew 25:40), entertain angels (Hebrews 13:2) and seek His face (Psalm 27). We need to pray & stay close to God in order to recognise Jesus at all times and in every situation.

Pray today that you may know Christ's presence and be the 'fragrance of Christ' (2Corinthians 2:15) to others:
 
Father of life draw me closer,
Lord, my heart is set on you
let me run the race of time
with your life enfolding mine
and let the peace of God,
let it reign.
 
O Lord I hunger for more of you
rise up within me let me know your truth
