Redemption ..
As the Nation mourns (or at least notices) the death of our Queen, it is a good time to reflect on who she was and the role and influence she had in our lives. Reminding ourselves of what has been good and helpful, recognising she was living in an imperfect world and family also. Change can be difficult, a sense of uncertainty, leaving behind what has been constant and familiar... but we keep good memories and have Hope - in Christ, who is an anchor for our soul (Hebrews 6:19)
The Christian believes in New Life (Ephesians 1:7), a new body, home & future to come (Revelation 21) Our life on this earth matters and cultivating our 'patch' is vital ~ we must sow and reap well for Eternity (Matthew 6 19-21) where there will no longer be death, mourning, sickness or pain. (Revelation 21:4). Following Christ will bring its reward for faithfulness (Matthew 25:21) ~ discipleship (following Jesus) is key. (Acts 11:26)
Thank God for Jesus who takes our punishment (Isaiah 53 5-6). We can give ourselves to Him & in time see our inheritance (Acts 4:12)

"Blessed are the poor in Spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven,
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven.. " Matthew 5 1-12
