God chooses His followers (Deut 14:2). He chooses people knowing that they are imperfect and in need of a Saviour (Psalm 103:14). He provides help when we call to him and enables us to live out His will. He gives us gifts and talents (Matthew 25:14 Parable of the Talents) and expects us to use them with the strength and wisdom He provides. God knows that we need Him - He created us to work as one with Himself and others (Ephesians 5:23).
Take a few moments today to consider what strengths the Lord has given you - ask Him to reveal them if you are uncertain. Then think for a moment about your weaknesses - and ask Him to help you with them.
Determine in your heart to love and serve God and people as He directs with all that He has blessed you with (Joshua 24:15). Ask for heavenly wisdom and strength and decide to be one who "strengthens the weak" Isaiah 58:6.

If a child lives with criticism, he learns to condemn.
If a child lives with hostility, he learns to fight.
If a child lives with fear, he learns to be apprehensive.
If a child lives with jealousy, he learns to feel guilt.
If a child lives with tolerance, he learns to be patient.
If a child lives with encouragement, he learns to be confident.
If a child lives with praise, he learns to be appreciative.
If a child lives with acceptance, he learns to love.
If a child lives with approval, he learns to like himself.
If a child lives with recognition, he learns it is good to have a goal.
If a child lives with honesty, he learns what truth is.
If a child lives with fairness, he learns justice.
If a child lives with security, he learns to trust himself and others.
If a child lives with friendliness, he learns the world is a nice place to live.

My life is in you, Lord
My strength is in you, Lord
My hope is in you, Lord, it's in you
I will praise you with all of my heart
I will praise you with all of my hope
with all of my life, with all of my strength
all of my hope is in you.
